Igor Bobric, UETS student's dean:
The purpose of UETS students' studying is a need for students to be able to understand the Word of God and knowledge of how to apply it to people's lives so that they are effective in ministry
for Lord. Practical ministry is a part of the UETS educational program and required so that students get more than academic knowledge. They will be in a position to apply knowledge in practice, acquiring practical ministry skills.
All students are to be actively involved in a particular area of practical
ministry. Each of them is assigned to a specific church, where he/she
goes to every week for some kind of ministry involvement. At the end
of the year all students submit a written resume of their practical
ministry for the whole year.
Academic development and practical ministry are two equal priorities
of UETS. Students have an opportunity to apply their theology in real-life
situations at churches and make biblical evaluations of their ministry
in the class-rooms.
Each first-year student is involved in one of the following ministries
during the week: worship or leading the music; leading prayer; testimony;
visiting the sick at home or in hospital; Sunday school lesson.
Second and third year students are leading home fellowship groups,
preaching and teaching at church, help to plan and hold the church meetings.
At the end of year each of them submits 10 sets of sermon notes, given
at church or in the chapel.
By the end of their fourth year, every student is expected to start
a home group either in totally new area or in existing church. They
may plant a new church with the help of Seminary and other churches.
At the end of year they submit at least 15 sets of sermon notes, delivered
at churches or other places.
