Maryna Yarmolenko – Dean of Music Department:

This program meets the need for music leaders in existing and new churches. Alongside with basic Biblical and Theological subjects, students study music and singing in depth. The main task of this program is to give biblical foundation for music ministry in churches, to develop professionalism and practical skills, giving both teaching at classes and opportunities to practice at chapels and church meetings.

Vision

To help ministers, worship leaders, and sound technicians manage music ministries in the local church.

Mission

To professionally prepare musicians and worship team members for more effective ministry to the Lord.

Main Goal

To give a deeper and broader knowledge of music ministry to pastors and worship leaders.  To provide churches with able worship musicians by improving their musicianship and deepening their spiritual life.

Portrait of the Graduate

  • The graduate of the UETS music program has certain qualities and skills:
  • He/She has necessary  knowledge for effective ministry in the church
  • He/She is able to participate in a worship team (individual vocal, choral singing and playing a musical instrument)
  • He/She has practical skills to manage a music ministry

Format and Duration of Study for the “Theology and Musical Ministry” Program

  1. Resident program:

a) 1 academic year – certificate

The first academic year students must study full time in the resident program. During this year the student will study subjects that will give him/her necessary theoretical knowledge and practical musical preparation for effective ministry to God in the church.

b) 2.5 academic years – diploma

The next 2.5 years includes not only theoretical and practical subjects in music but also theological subjects. Vocalists, musicians and sound technicians will attend seminars according to their specialization.
