Bachelor Program

Program vision

Effective preparation of young leaders for a ministry within Church and society.

Program mission

Our mission is to train ministers who will have mature Christian personality, obtained well-rounded biblical and theological education and who have skills in teaching, evangelism, leadership, counseling and who facilitate and help in church planting and spread the Gospel in a surrounding society.

The main purpose of the program

The purpose of the program is to create an environment and to offer education that will form personal and spiritual maturity, biblical and theological competency, understanding of Church history, and provide practical skills for various types of ministry necessary for effective spreading of God’s Kingdom on the earth.

 

Distinctive features of the program

  • Undergraduate program;

  • High academic level and skills for practical ministry in churches;

  • Balanced combination of in-class learning and self-learning;

  • Writing of research papers, mentorship, and evaluation are in Russian;

  • There are no denominational preferences.

Qualifications of a graduate of the program:

A graduate of UETS Bachelor of Theology and Christian Ministry Program of is expected to show the following qualities:

Character:

  • Spiritual and emotional maturity

  • Responsibility and accountability

  • Committed to Christian ethics

  • Healthy relationships within a family, a church and society

  • Understanding of personal calling and mission

  • Willingness to serve God’s Kingdom with one’s gifts and talents

  • Eagerness for continuous growth

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of general message of different books of the Bible

  • Knowledge of the main Christian doctrines in every major field of theology

  • Good understanding of the main principle of Biblical interpretation

  • General knowledge of Church history and main Christian traditions of Ukraine (and some post soviet countries)

  • Knowledge about main principles of Church ministry

  • Basic knowledge Christian values within personal, family and social life

Skills:

  • Able to study and interpret the Word of God in accordance with adequate exegetical principles

  • Could teach and preach the Word of God effectively

  • Could effectively evangelize and facilitate Church growth both within native and foreign cultures

  • Able to communicate clearly in written and oral forms

  • May be effective ministers in a contemporary culture

Able to practice basic management skills in personal life and ministry

 

Conferred degrees

  • “Bachelor of Theology and Christian ministry” and conferment of the degree

(180 credits)

  • Diploma (120 credits)

  • Certificate (60 credits)

 

Form and duration of the Vocational Bachelor Program

  • Resident form of study culminating in personal research (a diploma);

  • Education is happening in the form of lectures and personal research;

  • Durationof study-3 years.
  • Practical ministry in local churches.

  • Languages used for teaching, writing research papers and diploma are Russian and Ukrainian.
