The 2018 graduation ceremony of Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary was held on Saturday, September 15, 2018.
Over 40 graduates and their friends, spouses, and extended family members gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2018 graduating class.
Rev. Petro Zaliznyi, a regional pastor of the Ukrainian Free Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, was the featured speaker. His address urged the graduates to carry burdens of others and to be sincere, pursuing the ultimate goal in life, 'For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.'
A long-standing partner of the seminary, Debbie Sutton, referred to the end of the seminary journey as the beginning of a new life adventure and called to keep focused on Jesus, who is Alpha and Omega in everything.
Similar charges to the graduates were given by Ivan Rusyn, UETS President, and Dmytro Bulakh, a senior pastor of Grace Church in Kyiv.
Testimonials of the graduates representing different programs were especially encouraging. They shared how much they had learned from their professors, what difference the acquired knowledge had made in their lives and ministries, etc.
A reception was held immediately after the ceremony for graduates and their families.
