On September 14, 2019, Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary held its 2019 graduation ceremony.
56 graduates and their friends, spouses, and extended family members joined UETS faculty and staff to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2019 graduating class in UETS chapel.
Rev. Vasyl Raychynets, President of the Ukrainian Free Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, delivered the 2019 Graduation address to the institution’s graduating students.
Similar charges to the graduates were given by Rev. Ivan Rusyn, UETS President, and Rev. Petro Zaliznyi, a regional pastor of the Ukrainian Free Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith and chairman of UETS Board of Trustees.
The graduates, representing different programs, gave many encouraging testimonials. They shared how much they had learned from their professors, what difference the acquired knowledge had made in their lives and ministries, etc.
Anastasia Shcherbakova, a resident student of music: “It’s been a wonderful time since I enrolled in the Music and Christian Ministry program at UETS. I’ve got my best friend here. Also, I learned to be patient, accept weaknesses of others, see their pain and help them. These years have turned to be fundamental in my spiritual formation.”
Yevhen Utkin, a part-time student of theology: “I’d like to express my deep gratitude to the seminary for its diversity. Upon graduation, life does not seem to me nonambiguous any more. Thank you for revealing the beauty of sense and challenging me for the rest of my life.”
Nikita Ivanin, a resident student of theology: “Thanks to all the faculty of the Theology Department for believing in us. Thanks to the Music Department for providing high-quality worship. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay on the campus comfortable. When adding routes on my Google maps, I name UETS ‘home’. Today, this word has acquired special sense for me. The seminary will always be my home.”
