Family Ministry Program Study Session May 2024

Головна Family Ministry Program Study Session May 2024

In May, we had the privilege of hosting students for the Family Ministry Program (FMP) study session at UETS. The FMP is designed to enhance the church’s community outreach efforts by equipping teams with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective ministry to families. This program is particularly beneficial for leadership teams, community outreach leaders, and groups of 3-5 members from the same ministry team. The training focuses on implementing ministry work with purpose and efficiency, fostering a deep sense of care for people, and demonstrating the love of God.

The FMP is a distance learning program, enabling students to pursue their studies online. Despite being scattered across different parts of Ukraine, our students came together virtually, balancing their ministry work and personal challenges while dedicating themselves to their education. They recognize the critical importance of gaining knowledge, especially during these tumultuous times.

Our students have shared that the program has significantly shaped their character, making them more adaptable to change, responsible with resources, and open to building relationships. They have gained a comprehensive understanding of holistic mission approaches, the objectives and the goals of ministry work, and the specific social contexts in which they do their ministry. The training includes research into social contexts and the needs of target audiences, strategic planning for ministry development, budgeting and financial reporting, team communication, and engagement with partners and the target audience.

The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, including Holistic Mission, Analyzing Community Context, Developing Vision, Mission, and Values of Ministry, Team Development in Community Outreach Ministry, Strategy and Planning in Community Outreach Ministry, Accounting and Financial Planning in Ministry, Evangelism and Communication, and Fundraising and Partner Communication.

Despite the ongoing full-scale war in Ukraine, we are committed to sharing knowledge and experiences with our students. We continue to believe in and hope for a brighter future for our country and our people. We persist in the work God has called us to do, undeterred by the challenges we face. The resilience of our students and their dedication to their ministry work amidst such adversity is truly inspiring.
