War Takes its Heavy Toll on Ukraine

With more than two years into the bloodiest war since WWII, the Ukrainian nation is still going through the terrible ordeal, incurring numerous losses on a daily basis.

The fighting in the frontline is terrible, industrial and residential areas all over the country are regularly under missile and drone attacks, causing numerous casualties both among the military and civilians, damaging and destroying infrastructure. The number of people who have lost their homes, property, and health is constantly on the rise.

It is just in one week from March 18 to March 24 that Russia launched 190 missiles of various types, 140 drones and 700 guided aerial bombs. Although some of those were intercepted by the Ukrainian air defence, the rest did their evil job of killing, injuring, and destroying. 

In addition to that, In the last week of March, several large-scale missile and drone attacks targeted Ukraine’s energy system across the country, in particular power plants and local heating facilities, significantly undermining the security of the country’s power supply.

This is just another proof that the ongoing war is existential in its nature. It is not about land, language or even history. The Russians deny the very right of the Ukrainians to exist, saying there is no such nation.

Only God knows for how long the suffering of our people caused by this unprovoked aggression will last… Therefore, we ask you to continue standing with us in your prayers asking God for just peace on our land.
